Description
Dans cette leçon, les élèves utiliseront l'application Tickle pour écrire des algorithmes pour amener Dash à se déplacer pendant diverses durées et mesurer la distance qu'il a parcourue.

Présenter l'application Tickle
Dire aux élèves que dans cette leçon, ils utiliseront une nouvelle application pour Dash.
Donner aux élèves quelques minutes pour se familiariser avec l'application. Leur demander s'ils ont vu des similitudes avec avec Blockly et laisser les élèves échanger sur ce sujet.

Présenter l'activité
Aujourd'hui, nous écrirons un algorithme dans l'application Tickle pour amener Dash à avancer pendant diverses durées. En quoi est-ce différent de ce que nous avons fait précédemment dans Blockly avec l'activité pour la première année (avancer sur différentes distances).
- Demander aux élèves s'ils estiment qu'il sera plus difficile ou plus facile d'amener Dash à remplir une tâche. Leur demander d'en discuter avec un compagnon.
- Demander aux élèves s'ils estiment que Dash se déplacera toujours sur la même distance en 1 seconde ou en 2 secondes. Comment peut-on vérifier si les estimations des élèves sont vraies ?
- Inviter les élèves à échanger sur les diverses façons de faire.
Investigation
Investigation 1 :
Demander aux élèves de travailler en groupes de 3 et de mener trois essais de façon que chaque élève ait la chance d'écrire un algorithme, de mesurer la distance et de l'enregistrer sur la feuille d'enregistrement et la trajectoire.
- La première expérience consistera à mesurer la distance parcourue par Dash en 1 seconde à vitesse normale. Chaque groupe effectuera le même essai 3 fois.
- Le test suivant consistera à mesurer la distance parcourue par Dash en 2 secondes à vitesse normale. L'essai sera repris 3 fois.
- Le test suivant consistera à mesurer la instance parcourue par Dash en 3 secondes à vitesse normale. L'essai sera repris 3 fois.
- Placer les trajectoires sur un tableau au mur. Demander aux élèves d'inscrire leurs données sur les trajectoires de façon à classer les trajectoires pour 1, 2 et 3 secondes.
- Discussion de groupe : demander aux élèves d'examiner les données. Quelles observations peuvent-ils faire ? Ont-ils constater certaines similarités ?
Investigation 2
Toujours en petits groupes, demander aux élèves de répéter l'expérience ci-dessus en programmant Dash pour qu'il se déplace à diverses vitesses (chaque groupe expérimentera à une certaine vitesse). Demander aux élèves d'utiliser des marqueurs de couleurs différentes pour illustrer les distances parcourues en 1, 2 et 3 secondes à des vitesses différentes.
Demander aux élèves de répondre aux questions suivantes et de consigner les réponses dans leur journal de mathématiques.
- Quelle distance additionnelle Dash a-t-il parcourue en 2 secondes par rapport à 1 seconde ? Chaque élève répond à cette question à partir des mesures qu'il a prise.
- La vitesse de déplacement de Dash a-t-elle eu une incidence sur la distance parcourue ? Que peut-on observer à ce propos ? Quelles données permettent de confirmer ces observations ?
- Décrire tout modèle de comportement qui se dégage de cette activité.
- Y a-t-il d'autres questions qu'il faudrait investiguer lors d'une prochaine expérience ?
