Part 3 – Getting Ready for Game Day – Showcase Your Data Story (Student Co-taught – Grades 5-12)

It’s game time! Students bring together everything they have learned throughout the Data Dunkers program to prepare for their final showcase. After exploring data, uncovering insights, and designing investigations, participants will now focus on presenting their findings in a clear, compelling, and professional way. 
Students will learn how to transform data into powerful stories by organizing their evidence, creating impactful visualizations, and communicating recommendations with confidence. Through collaboration, reflection, and presentation practice, students will prepare to share their work with classmates, educators, and other audiences. 
Just like professional sports analysts, students will use data to support their conclusions and explain how their findings can influence decisions on and off the court. 

During this workshop, students will: 

• Organize and refine the results of their data investigations. 

• Create engaging charts, graphs, and visual presentations. 

• Develop data storytelling skills that bring insights to life. 

• Practice presenting findings and defending conclusions with evidence. 

• Participate in peer feedback and improve their presentations. 

• Reflect on their learning journey and growth throughout the program. 
   

By the end of the session, students will be fully prepared to present their data investigations and showcase the insights they have uncovered throughout the Data Dunkers program. They will be able to communicate findings clearly, support recommendations with evidence, and demonstrate how data can be used to answer meaningful questions and solve real-world challenges.
